Up for sale is a 1993 Toyota Hiace 4×4 truck. Diesel Toyota 2L
The truck has been lots of fun… while owning it I’ve gone through everything to ensure I wouldn’t have any issues on long trips. The injection pump was professionally rebuilt and all the 100k service items including the timing belt were taken care of while in the process.
It’s powered by the Toyota 2L engine, it’s a very simple to work on diesel. Purely mechanical and very reliable. Mated to a 5 speed with a low range gear box and manual locking hubs.
The truck also features an EAI or External Air Intake valve which allows you to close off the air coming from the airbox for extreme water crossings and temporarily use cabin air to get across.
It also features a manual radiator curtain for driving in extreme cold weather. As well as a manual choke and 2 huge batteries also for starting in extreme cold conditions.
Brand new Toyo Open Country m/t tires were fitted and the truck was lifted to allow them to fit.
The truck was painted with a rugged matt finish and very high quality roof rack was added just incase you run out of space in the huge bed of the truck.
The truck has just under 90,000 miles on it.
It’s not a show truck or perfect but It’s a truck that’s meant to be used and have fun with… or an around the world adventure vehicle?
The engine runs very beautifully and starts right up.
The bed folds down 3 ways and makes for a great camping platform.
